Happy New Year 2012!!!

Apexi Pacific (Singapore) would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year 2012!!!

Another year had just pass by, its about time to forget about the past and look forward to the new stuff in the brand new 2012.  We guess the most exciting news is that Toyota and Subaru had finally announce their up-coming FT-86 and BRZ.  We think that will be the most popular performance car everyone is looking forward to in 2012.

As for Apexi, we understand current economic situation are not at its best shape and we believe our passion about tuning cars never died.  In 2012, we will be releasing a lot old/new products at much more affordable prices and faster release time on performance gears for new model vehicles.  So more people can enjoy the fun of customized your vehicle and find your driving fun.

At the end of year 2011 and begining of 2012, we would like to release our new member in our exhaust lineup, the "Evolution R Exhaust Series".  Evolution R exhaust series are design base on our legendary N1 Design but with less restriction. 

With the N1 Exhaust series, there's a lot of times that we have to design the system with restrictions to suit emmission laws in Japan.  As the result, there's limits in exhaust flow and its power outputs.  In Evolution R Exhaust series, we had design it to provide best possible flow without compromise the joy of driving.  Meaning not being too loud.  Current EVO R exhaust systems are all design to be around 88dB during idle and 94dB at 4500RPM.  We understand most customers are using their vehicles as their daily transportation.  As much as we love more HP, we wouldn't want to destroy the fun of driving, too.

All Evolution R Exhausts are CAT Back and 3inch straight through with full stainless steel material.  Noise level are as mention above, its around 89dB at idle and 94dB at 4500RPM.  Unfortunetly these exhaust are design for better flow and power, so its not certified with any emission law (for singapore customers, it is not LTA approve).  Its design for sports and race use only.

N1 Universal Muffler II in STOCK NOW

New N1 Universal Muffler are available in stock now.

A universal muffler is the perfect choice for those who wants to fabricate a unique "one-off" exhaust system for their custom street machine or race car. N1 Universal Muffler is constructed in the exact same grade of stainless steel, fiber inserts and welding quality as N1 mufflers used in the A'PEXi cat back exhaust series. Since we first introduce them back in 10 years ago (or a bit longer than that), its always been one of our Top selling item.  And its about time for us to revise our design now from the previous version.

N1 Universal Muffler II is contracted in full polish stainless steel with both robotic and hand craft welding finish. It is full straight through design with 3inch (76.2mm) inlet and 4.5inch (114.5mm) tip outlet. Its perfect size for Turbo charge vehicle applications.

The new version of N1 Universal Mufflers are all included with bracket in the package for easy installation. The weight of the muffler is about 5kg which is around 1kg lighter than the previous version. We had also revise the packaging on the new version to make the shipping/transportation and storage easier.

Apexi N1 Universal Mufflers II

The N1 series muffler is always been an icon in the aftermarket exhaust since Apexi first introduce it back in the 90's.  Over the years, every aftermarket exhaust manufacture were using N1 style muffler as their standard exhaust design.  Also, there's a lot of copy version N1 style mufflers on the market nowadays and they usually cheap (I believe you all know why...).    As a result, we had many oversea customers were complaining to us about the competition and sales were down.  So we have to make our mufflers to be more competitive in price without comprising the quality.  We start to review our design on N1 mufflers early this year to see if we can bring our cost down.  Its a hard work because the current cost on materials are just not helping it.

Finally, we had re-design our N1 muffler bodies and we had made up 24 different samples for testing before we can decide which design is the best.  

We had send our samples to our distributor in Australia for testing to check which specification will be most suitable for their customers.  Both sound and power were checked.  

Finally, after few month's re-design and testing work, we had decided our new spec. for new N1 Universal Mufflers and we were able to bring the cost down by a margin.  New N1 Universal muffler II will be release on 1st Oct at USD $ 180.00.  Details will be release next week.  Stay tune.... 

New Product Release (Smart Accel Controller)

New car design since last few years had all equip with new electronic control throttle technology.  In another word, our foot is no longer the only factor that controls the throttle opening range now.  Part of it is controlled through ECU nowadays.  So even when you push the throttle pedal all the way to the ground, didn't neccessary means you are in the full throttle mode.  It all depends on how the factory ECU was program for these days.  In car tuning world, the wider the throttle opens means the engine is sucking more air, and ECU will tell injectors to pump more fuel, and it will create bigger spark, and our car goes faster.  In reverse, the narrower the throttle opens, the less fuel will be use and our car goes slower.  But it will decrease our fuel consumptions this way and save on our petrol bills.


Apexi Japan had release a throttle controller product this month called Smart Accel Controller.  Apexi is not the first company who releases this type of products, but Smart Accel Controller is the most affordable, most compact in size and most simple design for its purpose.   Throttle controller products allows user to alter the standard ECU setting in order to open up or soften down the throttle opening range. Smart Accel Controller will allow user to boost up their throttle response for faster acceleration.  It also allows user to soften the throttle opening for fuel saving purpose.  During the soften mode, it will slow down the acceleration response but it will provide you extra millage on the fuel tank.
